IMPORTANT INFO
for Parents and student athletes:

We wanted to share some information with you about physicals for the 2020-2021 school year. Please share with the parents of student athletes you know.

Physicals
If your child had a valid physical for the 2019-2020 school year, that physical will be valid for the 2020-2021 school year.

In addition to this, you and your child must complete the “2020-21 Health History Update Questionnaire and Consent and Release Certificate” from the IHSAA.

When filling out this form, if you answer yes to any of the 7 questions, your child will need to get a new physical for the 2020-2021 school year.

This form can be found on the Final Forms website. THIS IS AN UPDATE: When the athletic department receives this form your child’s physical will be updated on Final Forms.

If your child did not have a valid physical for the 2019-2020 school year, he/she will need to get a physical for the 2020-2021 year.

Waiver Form
For Paoli Community School Corporation, we ask that you complete the “Waiver/Release for Communicable Diseases Including Covid-19, MSRA, and All forms of Influenza”

This form can be found on the Final Forms website. THIS IS AN UPDATE: This form can be completed on FINAL FORMS or printed out.

The waiver form needs to be signed and turned into the athletic office before activities start on July 6th. It can be turned into your child’s coach on July 6th.

Turning in forms, Facemasks, and etc.:
Mr. Newkirk will be at the Football shelter house at the following times:

Wednesday, July 1st 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, July 1st 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, July 2nd 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Thursday, July 2nd 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

During these time parents and students can turn in the “2020-21 Health History Update Questionnaire and Consent and Release Certificate” from the IHSAA as well as the “Waiver/Release for Communicable Diseases Including Covid-19, MSRA, and All forms of Influenza”.

Also, during these times, you can purchase a purple “P” facemask. We now have both sizes for the face masks (S/M and L/XL). And if you want to go ahead and pay for your water coolers and towels you can do that as well.

Mr. Newkirk will also answer any questions about the forms, physicals, final forms website, or questions about athletics.

Thanks and GO RAMS

Fall 2020-2021 Planning

Parents, please take a moment to complete the survey link below with your thoughts on a possible re-entry for the 2020-2021 school year.

Paoli Community School Corporation is seeking parent/guardian input on what re-entry could look like for our students this fall.

Three possible models of re-entry include traditional, hybrid, and virtual. We will ultimately go with the guidelines set forth by Governor Holcomb and the Indiana DOE, but we want to make sure we have an option for parents who want their children to attend virtually until they feel comfortable being physically present in the building.

Please share this survey with other parents in our community to help generate the largest amount of feedback possible.

THANK YOU! #PaoliProud

P-EBT Card to Offer Summer Food Assistance

Attention parents and students — if you are receiving free and reduced-price meals at school you will be receiving a P-EBT card to help with food assistance this summer. These cards will be sent in the mail. Some students should have started receiving their card today (June 1st).
All Throop students will receive this P-EBT card because it is a CEP school. Students in junior high and high school who received free or reduced meals will also receive it.
If the address the school had on file for a student was incorrect when the data was pulled, nothing can be done at this time, and students cannot be added.

Tentative Graduation Plans

The 4-H Fair is now scheduled to commence July 12, so the original “Graduation Plan A” is no longer an option.
A final determination will be made on July 3 for either: Plan B - Traditional Ceremony on July 19. Plan C - Virtual Ceremony on July 12. More information will be sent once the Traditional / Virtual determination has been made.
Plan B: Traditional Graduation Ceremony on July 19, 2020 If social distancing has been lifted, graduation will take place on July 19, 2020.
Plan C: Virtual Graduation Ceremony on July 12, 2020 If social distancing has NOT been lifted, we will conduct a virtual graduation. We want to give students the opportunity to still walk across the stage if possible. We will invite a specific number of family members to join the graduates, one at a time, in the gym for a photo opportunity and to watch the graduate walk across the stage and receive their diploma. Video footage of each private commencement will be combined with speeches and broadcast on July 12, 2020.
