A Letter from Principal Johnson
Hello, my name is Chad Johnson, and it is my privilege to serve as principal of Paoli Jr.-Sr. High School. I am a 2001 graduate of PHS and am excited to be a part of such a wonderful school community. I am very passionate about education in all facets, and am excited to be working with individuals who share that same enthusiasm. As a school, our teachers and staff are working hard to create authentic, rigorous lessons and units to provide our students with an outstanding education.
As mentioned, I am a graduate of PHS, and I grew up in the surrounding community. My wife Karen, also a graduate of PHS, teaches at Throop Elementary School. My son, Will, is a student at Throop where my daughter, Sophie, will attend also. In my spare time, I enjoy woodworking, metalworking, fishing and hunting.
I attended Ball State University to earn my Bachelor’s degree and taught shop and engineering courses at Corydon Central High School and West Washington Jr.-Sr. High School. While teaching and coaching track and cross country I was able to obtain my Master’s degree. My administration career started at East Washington Elementary, where I was Assistant Principal for three years. I was then able to make a move to Paoli Jr.-Sr. High School at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year.
As Principal, I am working hard for your student and the community to develop successful and productive citizens. The administrative team here at Paoli Jr.-Sr. High School is here is assist and answer questions. Please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to help.
Your student is in great hands at PJSHS.
